Hemp / Spirulina Energy Bars

These bars make a great snack that provide a lot of nutritional value. The spirulina in these make them rich in minerals. Sea vegetables contain a wide array of minerals from the ocean that can benefit our health. The hemp seeds are also a great source of protein and polyunsaturated fats. Incredibly easy to make! Enjoy!


Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
• 1/2 cup pistachios
• 1/3 cup hemp seeds
• 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
• 1/2 cup chopped dates
• 1.5 tbsp coconut oil
• Juice from half a small orange
• 1/2 tsp of spirulina

Instructions:
Put the pumpkin seeds, pistachios, hemp seeds, shredded coconut, dates and spirulina in a food processor. Melt the coconut oil. Add to the mixture. Juice half a small orange.
Pulse the food processor until you reach a good consistency.
Place the mixture in a baking tray or glass pan . I used a 9” x 5” tray. Chill in the freezer for an hour.
Cut into bars and serve! Store in refrigerator/freezer.
